2022 VBS Volunteer Form

Thank you for your interest to serve in this year’s VBS--MAKE WAVES!

Tuesday, June 21 to Friday, June 24
5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

To volunteer, you must*:

 1. Be a regular attendee of Living Hope Community Church

2. Be available to serve for the entirety of the VBS program: June 21-24.

3. ATTEND THE VOLUNTEER TRAINING/MEETINGS ON SUNDAY, MAY 15 AND SUNDAY, JUNE 19.

VBS Teams

Read the following team descriptions carefully. Select your top 3 choices below. Please note that your selection is a request, and assignments will be based upon need and gifting.

CREW LEADER (Must be in grade 9 or older)
-Lead a crew (about 4-6 children) from station to station.
-Worship with your crew during praise, worship, and rotation times.
-Participate in all the day’s activities while being an example of Christ’s love.

ASSISTANT CREW LEADER (Best option for grades 6-8)
-Assist the Crew leader in leading a crew (about 4-6 children) from station to station
-Worship with your crew during praise, worship, and rotation times.
-Participate in all the day’s activities while being an example of Christ’s love

GAMES
-Prepare each day’s games under the guidance of the Team Leader
-Lead games each day

CRAFTS
-Help prepare each day’s experiment and/or craft under the guidance of the Team Leader
-Lead the experiments and/or crafts each day

BIBLE EXPERIENCE
-Help prepare each day’s Bible story, discussion, and response under the guidance of the Team Leader
-Present the Bible story and facilitate follow-up discussions/response

SAFETY
-Ensure the safety of all children under the Safety Coordinator
-Ensure a safe and orderly environment
-Provide first aid as needed

-Please select this option ONLY if you have already been contacted by a member of the VBS Board.

THIS TEAM IS NOW CLOSED. | The PRAISE TEAM requires extra meeting/rehearsal times outside of the general volunteer meetings. There are limited spaces and specific skills are necessary. If you are interested in being considered, please mark it on the volunteer form. You will be contacted by the Team Leader. (Must be in grade 9 or older.) I am interested in being considered for the Praise Team.

VBS is a Christ-centered event, designed to present the Gospel to young children. Please take your commitment to serve seriously, and register only if you can FULLY commit to the program.
